Before the hair tansplant procedure:
You will be contacted by one of Dr. Pizarro’s medical assistants to confirm your surgery date and arrival time. Our helpful staff will answer any questions you may have about the surgery or hair loss in general so you know what to expect and what the day of the procedue will be like.
On the day of the hair transplant procedure:

Evaluation: You will meet one-on-one with Dr. Pizarro to review your hair restoration “game-plan,” including the number of grafts recommended to help you reach your hair restoration goals. During this initial phase, Dr. Pizarro will also take pictures of you which will be used in comparing your before and after results twelve months after your procedure.
Application of Medications/Local Anesthesia: Dr. Pizarro will administer the local anesthesia required for your procedure in the donor area, and later in the hair transplantation areas.
Donor Harvesting: Dr. Pizarro will harvest your donor strip, obtaining the correct number of hair follicles needed to achieve your hair loss restoration goals.
Graft Preparation: After the donor strip has been harvested, it is extremely important that great care be taken when separating the excess tissue surrounding the follicles. Since this crucial factor determines if a graft survives or not, Dr. Pizarro, herself, cleans the entire strip of grafts herself before they are separated, as they naturally exist, as 1, 2, 3 or 4 hair follicle grafts, in which Dr. Pizarro is also involved, along with her highly trained team.
Creation of Graft Sites: During this phase of your hair transplant procedure, Dr. Pizarro will focus on creating the sites where your harvested grafts will be placed. Which graft goes where….and in what angle….are just two of the key factors involved in delivering a natural looking hair transplant result.
Placement of grafts: Unlike “mill type” organizations that only let their technicians place all grafts, Dr. Pizarro will also take part in this important phase of your procedure. By using single haired grafts for your immediate frontal hairline and 2, 3 and 4 hair grafts as she transplants on the top and crown areas, Dr. Pizarro will apply the latest techniques and equipment to ensure your hair transplant experience will be both gratifying and successful.
Final review by Dr. Pizarro: The final step of your procedure involves Dr. Pizarro’s perfectionism taking over by conducting a final review of the results of your procedure, making sure every graft has been placed perfectly.
